August 3rd (Albon-Crouch family)
Then, us four headed back to Sarah and Simon’s house which is based in the theological college for lunch. We had a delicious homemade fresh meal with avocado, bread and hard boiled eggs 😋😋
Plus we met some of their gorgeously adorable kittens 🥰
After a little tour of the college grounds, we had an ‘afternoon tea’ with some of the students from the college, who told us all about their backgrounds, families and why they chose to study here. We snacked on chocolate and fruit/honey cake alongside some tea, to bring a taste of home to the students in Uganda.
Me (Ruby) and Mum (Sharon) sat in on the afternoon colleges’ church service which was held in a different language!! Luckily, one of the lovely students translated for us and we were able to understand much more.
Finally, for tea, Sarah and Simon took us to one of their favourite restaurants, an Ethiopian Restaurant in the centre of Gulu, which was lush.
