August 4th

We woke up and arrived at our meeting spot of Christ Church early, so we went with Sarah and bought some stationary in the high street shops. Then, me (Ruby), Zac, Pete, Eloise and Elliot headed to Gulu Secondary School. I partook in an English, Rs and Entrepreneurship( ‘Entry’) lesson and met a lovely girl called Fortunate, who took me around everywhere! Eloise went to a Biology and Chemistry lesson, whilst Zac and Elliot spent lots of time playing cricket!!
After eating lunch at school, we joined back with the rest of the team to have a wander around town, looking in the local markets. Many people ordered dresses which will be tailored to them and we will pick these up on the way back through Gulu.

We stopped at a lovely cafe for a team catch up and meeting and everyone chose drinks. Most had a passionfruit juice!

Everyone’s hosts picked them up and we went back with Soph and Lauren for tea with their hosts Dan and Nola, the bishop’s daughter. Their children Daniella and 14th month son Divine (who loved Zac 🤣) were also there.

The bishop and his wife joined us too. It was so lovely.
