Successful sewers!

This morning  Gaye,Ali and I met the young school girl mothers, a project I have helped promote so I felt very emotional. We met with 35 young mums who had all fallen pregnant  during Covid lockdown  The diocese,  in particular  Scovia has run a successful programme teaching hygiene, life skills, trauma counselling  and then practical skills in tailoring. I was invited  to present the certificates  and then had the privilege of handing over sewing machines. Each girl is given a start up kit so they have the means to support themselves and their child. ( £84 for each sewing machine)Very few will ever be able to go back to school. The girls have shown great perseverance.Gaye was able to hand out bras, all collected from kind donors in Pill, her village.
